Body of George Floyd has arrived in Houston for final funeral service and burial

A family member took George Floyd's body to Texas on a late Saturday flight.

Will Friends, Family and the world this week-bye to George Floyd at the funeral, final and planned in Houston.

Police Chief Art Acevedo tweeted early Sunday morning that"George Floyd and his family are safe in Houston."

President Delta Airlines and the Bush Intercontinental Airport thanked them for their participation in the repatriation of Floyd's remains.

There is a service for Floyd this week in the Houston area: public participation on Monday and memorial service by invitation only on Tuesday.

The public display and private funeral will be held at the Fontaine of Praise in 13950 Hillcroft Ave, Houston, TX 77085. Then Floyd will be buried in Pearland.

Floyd's death sparked protests across the country after a viral video showed a Minneapolis police officer kneeling at Floyd's throat for several minutes.

On Saturday, a memorial service for Floyd was held in Raiford, North Carolina.

Talked to WCNC Charlotte to the people at the party Memorial in Raeford who were surprised by their ability to watch the casket open and they said it's something they remember forever.

However, it was extremely painful for some in the family of George Floyd.

Floyd's brother at NBC said,"I don't make sense."

It wasn't going back to North Carolina that anyone wanted George Floyd, especially his family who attended the memorial.
